AMBERIAN DAWN:

Amberian Dawn is a new Finnish metal band. Female metal vocal scene has seen in last years its raise to power again and it's is nice to be part of building that.
We have quite long history as musicians and we’ve played in many different bands. Peter James Goodman (vocals), Tuomas Seppälä (keyboards), Heikki Saari (drums) and I played in a band called Virtuocity and when that ended we started working on songs that Tuomas had composed. Tuomas moved to guitar which he mastered as well as keyboards and Sampo Seppälä (guitar), Tom Sagar (keyboards) joined to establish Atheme One. Atheme One had some great power metal songs that we’re met with cool response. Heikki moved soon to band called Norther and he’s replacement was another young crazy drummer Joonas Pykälä-aho.
It was summer 2006 when Tuomas and I decided that we should start looking for a female classical singer. Tuomas had composed dozens of great songs that we’re not suitable for Atheme One’s vocalist Peter James Goodman. Something had to be done since we didn’t want to waste those great songs… So the “hunt” begun…

After few weeks of searching.. almost at the same time we found the same add. We listened the sample and decided to organize a demo session. Heidi turned out to be more than we ever could have even dreamed of. She had (and still has) unbelievable voice and she mastered everything what we asked her to sing. Not only can she sing, she can also write intriguing lyrics. Amberian Dawn was born… by that time every member of the band knew that we had something special in the air.

We started to practice hard and arrange the songs for Heidi. First studio session was in fall and we recorded 2 songs in Rockstar Productions studio. Sessions went really well you can listen the first song “River of Tuoni” here and next song that I add is called “Evil Inside Me”. As I write this the situation is that we are without a deal. Let’s see what the future brings to us.. And please send your comments and mails to us... We are always interested to hear your feelings of our music!
